Job Title: Billing Operation Engineer

Reports to: Network Operation Manager (Batam)

Division: NCC
Location: Batam

Type of Employment: Permanent

Primary purpose of the position:

 Support the operation and maintenance of ACeS Billing system(Garuda), Inmarsat SPS Billing System, and Datawarehouse.
 Perform the administration works for all servers in the Billing System. This shall include monitor the database performance, database tuning, hardware capacity, backup process, and all its interfaces equipment.
 Develop necessary tools for supporting the customized requested data from Inmarsat, AIL, and NSPs.

Key responsibilities of the position:

 Providing the important billing data for the invoices and statistics.
 Providing the daily, weekly, and monthly report as required.
 Provide report on the performance of billing system and recommendation for future expansion.

Essential knowledge and skills:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/EE in telecommunications
• At least 3 years working experience in the database operation and maintenance
• Experience in Oracle Database Administration and HPUX servers will be an advantage
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently and be willing to travel aboard and Indonesian area.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required.

Other relevant information:
• Due to the necessity to communicate with London, flexibility may be needed on occasion to operate relatively late in the working day Batam time.

The job needs to be integrated or co-ordinated with a wide range of other activities, within and external to Inmarsat, which may be quite diverse in nature.
